47811 arrives at Wolverton as 0Z17 from Rugby

47811 stops for the Distribution Centre crossing

The track between centre sidings and the distribution centre is in poor condition and overgrown. From the Distribution Centre under Stratford Road to the headshunt the line has been relayed in connection with the redevelopment of part of the site and preparation for the propsed Lafarge stone trains.

47811 heads into the works. A new location for me, these photos are taken from the Community Centre car park, though steps are required to see over the fence!

47811/816/830 and 841 have all been used on the 456 moves. 841, still in ex Virgin red, is now confined to yard shunting at Dagenham.

Having attached the second translator vehilcle 08629 draws the train forward before setting back to couple to the 47.

As well as the 456's, the works is currently home to FCC and Silverlink 313s, FCC 319s, Strathclyde 334025, Chiltern 168214 and Docklands and Manchester trams

456003 is the 18th unit out of 24 to be completed

08629, one of two resident shunters. Former Eastleigh works 08649 sees very little use.

5Z18 on the move at Chelmscote, north of Old Linslade

Likely to be withdrawn in 2007, 47811 heads for Selhurst at Chelmscote

The return 5Z19 from Selhurst conveyed 456021, unfortunately blocked by a Pendolino at Milton Keynes!

47811 heads back to Rugby. She will probably return to Basford Hall or Garston overnight.
