A sunny start to September with a visit to Northampton and Rugby. 6H50 and 37's on the measurement train. Much variety in the second week with classes 37/40/47/56/60/66/87/90/92 and a Princess.

Updated 27 September for Cotswold 47s and shots from Stoke Hammond bypass and on 30 September for a cracking Thursday featuring DRS 37/57 and 66s, 57309 on 4M94, a One 90 and a 47! Also includes the DRS 47s on 1Z30/32.

4 September 2007 66623 was due to be named the previous week, but this was cancelled after an accident involving a shunter.  The nameplate bolts are just about visible in this view in the north bay at Rugby.  66623 had arrived light engine from Croft after working back from Neasden.

4 September 2007 56303 on 4O90 caught me out as it normally departs after the 16:28 unit to Northampton.  Today, after a very swift crew change she left at 16:23 and was long gone by the time I arrived at Northampton.

The 321's have a limited life with the new London Midland franchise and fresh orders for 350's.  321402/415 are seen heading north with 321428 on the 1703 Northampton-Euston slowing for the stop at Wolverton.
