Freight on the Weedon loop, southern 319s to Milton Keynes and freight diversions during the North London line closure.

A cloudy start to the week, but not every week do we get 20s and a 73 at Milton Keynes! 377s on the routelearners for the new East Croydon service too.

1 September 2008 September started with the closure of the North London line for engineering work.  One of several trains diverted from the MML across the Bedford - Bletchley is the 6L84 Croft - Bow Olympic seen behind 66529 at a very overgrown Lidlington!

2 September 2008 One of the other diverted freights is the 6M92 West Thurrock - Earles cement empties.  Sadly the light had deteriorated and the rain started to such an extent I didn't even wait for the 86s following on 4M87!

3 September 2008 The reduced pendolino service as a result of the Trent Valley engineering work meant that 4M23 was booked via Weedon for two weeks.  A visit to Blisworth catches an unidentified pendolino heading north as 4M23 was almost an hour late!
